Brighton residents uncover proposal for massive data center campus, spurring potential moratorium
Denver7 reports on Project Silo and Mayor Pro Tem Peter Padilla's stated plan to propose a 90-day moratorium.
The proposed site is in Brighton. The community story crosses city lines.
We are tracking the public records, unanswered questions and decisions around the proposed Project Silo data-center campus. Silver Peaks and neighboring Lochbuie and Weld County communities belong at the center of that story.
What would it use? Who would pay? What protections would nearby residents have? We ask for the records before treating an answer as fact.
September 28 update: Project Silo is now Case 001 of the Data Center Accountability Project. The September 26 Walk & Learn is a past event. Its materials remain part of the archive.
52 questions and document requests from three Project Silo emails are listed below. Search by topic or filter by email. Each item has a stable ID, its wording, a date field, and room for a written response and source link.
Send dates still to verify: The supplied Proton copies show the question text but no email headers or timestamps. “No written answer archived” means no response is posted here as of September 24; it does not mean City staff have never replied. The September 23 CORA receipt is tracked separately under Records.
New September 25 records lead: A community-published visitor-log excerpt describes a September 10 City Hall visit. The meeting subject and any Project Silo connection remain unverified; related City records and the exact response are still needed. See the dated status and source.

Thank you to Adams County DSA, Bridge to Brighton, the Silver Peaks HOA, and Stacey Baca Reports for bringing attention and care to this issue. . This is an independent project; thanks do not imply these groups or people endorse every statement on this site.
A source-first public archive for the records, questions, official responses, meetings and reporting surrounding a proposed data-center campus in northeast Brighton.
Silver Peaks is a residential community in Lochbuie. Jacob's Run is a recognized Brighton subdivision. The archive is seeking official GIS/setback records for exact distances between Project Silo and nearby homes. A claimed “200-yard” separation and a Brighton-area “Fox Run” connection are not published here as facts because they have not yet been independently verified.
These entries are written narrowly. They describe what a dated source says, not what anyone should conclude about the project.
Brighton's pre-application notes describe a data center with several approximately 300,000-square-foot buildings, a switching station and substation.
The plan is expressly illustrative and conceptual and says the design may change with project development and the actual end user.
City comments say a Traffic Impact Study would be required if one did not already exist, raw water would need to be dedicated and a water-resource report would be required.

Public-record PDFs stay available alongside summaries so readers can inspect the record themselves.
Technical and process questions are logged, dated and paired with responses when they arrive.
News coverage is linked to the publisher and identified as outside reporting rather than presented as a City record.
If a fact changes or proves wrong, the correction is documented instead of quietly rewriting the archive.
The issue register keeps the focus on measurable information and documented process.

The archive now has a private intake path for community information, an opt-in project email list, and a public tracker for records requests.

We are preparing a source-linked podcast on Project Silo, the council questions, and the decisions that other communities also face. The first episode is being planned; no recording is posted yet.
